Why Yoga Yax-té?

Yax-té: A name with deep roots

Symbiosis between nature and wisdom

Like the ceiba, yoga aspires to unite the different dimensions of the human being. Through physical practice (asanas), control of vital energy (pranayama) and meditation, we seek to harmonize body, mind and spirit. This internal balance allows us to ground ourselves in the earth, while also rising towards full consciousness and connection with the universe.

The word 'Te' in Mayan means 'tree', further reinforcing the symbiosis with nature and the ancestral wisdom that Yax-té seeks to transmit. It is a space where ancient tradition merges with the contemporary practice of yoga, creating a unique environment for personal growth and inner exploration. At Yax-té, each individual has the opportunity to connect with the vital energy of the ceiba, find inner peace and awaken their own spirituality.

Internal balance and rooting with the earth

The name Yax-te' is an invitation to connect with the very essence of yoga and the deep wisdom of the Mayan culture. 'Yax', short for Yaxché, transports us to the imposing ceiba tree, considered sacred by the Mayans. This tree, with its roots firmly anchored in the earth and its branches reaching for the sky, symbolizes the axis mundi, that cosmic axis that unites the underworld (Xibalbá), the terrestrial world and the celestial world. It is a bridge between the visible and the invisible, the material and the spiritual, a reflection of the interconnection of the entire universe.

Al igual que la ceiba, el yoga busca unir lo terrenal con lo espiritual.
Like the ceiba, yoga seeks to unite the earthly with the spiritual.

'Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, health, religion or culture. It is a journey of self-discovery that can help anyone find inner peace and happiness.'
